Central Council for Research in Siddha (CCRAS) Chennai invites applications for the following posts to be filled by Direct Recruitment Basis. Eligible persons apply on the prescribed format on or before 26th May 2014.
About: CCRS is the Apex body in India for formulation, co-ordination, development and promotion of research in Siddha. The Council carries out its activities and function through its network of 5 Institutes/Units located in Chennai, Puducherry, Thiruvananthapuram, Palayamkottai and Metturdam.
Note: On 26th March 2014, CCRAS issued Corrigendum for this Advertisement. Candidates, who have already applied in response to Advertisement No.1/2014, need not apply again. Recruitment for the post of Stenographer, LDC and Driver stands cancelled. The DD received from the candidates for the post of Stenographer Grade-C, LDC and Driver is being returned.

Educational Qualifications:
Research Officer (Siddha) -> Postgraduate Degree in Siddha system of medicine from a CCIM recognized Institution.
Research Officer (Siddha Pharmacy) -> Postgraduate Degree in Siddha in Gunapadam from a CCIM recognized Institution. Enrolment in the Central/ State Register of Indian Medicine/ Siddha as the case may be.
Research Officer (Pharmacognosy) -> M.Sc. in Botany/ Medicinal Plants or M.Pharm (Pharmacognosy) from a recognized university. Desirable - Ph.D in relevant subject.
Lab Attendant -> Essential - 12th (+2) class or equivalent with Science subjects from recognized Board/University. Desirable - Certificate course from recognized University/Institutes in Computer Application. Experience Laboratory.
How To Apply: Applications on the prescribed format. Completed applications should be enclosed along with two recent passport size photographs, One recent passport size photograph has to be affixed in the first page of the application on the space provided and a demand draft for Rs.100/- for OBC/General candidates and Rs.20/- for SC/ST candidates, which has to be drawn in favour of Central Council for Research In Siddha, payable at Chennai should be enclosed. Original certificates have to be produced at the time of written test/Interview. Self-attested copies of testimonials and certificates should be produced by the physically Handicapped candidates who are exempted from the application fee.
The candidates should mention "Application for the post of_________" in bold letters on the right side top of the envelope. The last date for receipt of applications is 26/05/2014.
The date, time and venue of the written test, interview will be communicated to the candidates, for which candidates are requested to enclose oneself-addressed envelope (11x5cm) affixing postal stamps worth Rs.25/- along with the duly filled in prescribed Application Form in a separate cover.
